Local Coffee opened in 2009, often considered San Antonio’s birthplace of specialty coffee. It grew to a roasting company and 11 retail locations in SA, Austin, and Dallas. In February 2020, the founders, Robby and Neesha, sold the company but retained full ownership of the Pearl location and the name, Local Coffee, and adding “Founders” to the name to signify it is the only original Local Coffee in San Antonio. “We realize how unique it is to have emotionally and passionately built something from the ground up, sell it, and still get to keep doing what we love.
