We stayed at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort for a weekend getaway and had a mixed experience. The resort is beautifully located in the Texas Hill Country, with scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, our room was outdated and in need of renovation, which was disappointing given the high price we paid. The bathroom was particularly worn out, with peeling wallpaper and outdated fixtures. Despite this, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the pool area, which was clean and well-maintained, but the bar was not always open, which was a letdown. The food at the restaurant was decent, but not exceptional, and the service was sometimes slow. Overall, while Tapatio Springs has potential, it falls short in terms of quality and innovation. With some updates and improvements, it could be a top-notch resort, but for now, it's just average. One major issue we had was the inconsistency in service - some staff members were attentive and helpful, while others seemed overwhelmed or uninterested. This made our experience feel disjointed and frustrating at times.
